I Played Bingo in Ham Lake, Minnesota and It Was a Gas!
Bingo Is Life
I'm not sure what got into me the other day, but I decided to play bingo. I had seen people playing it before and it looked like a whole lot of fun. I wasn't sure where to start, so I just looked up "bingo near me." That's how I found out about the Ham Lake Bingo Hall.
I walked into the hall and it was like walking into another world. The first thing I noticed was the smell of cigarettes and coffee. I'm not a smoker, but the smell was strangely intoxicating. I walked up to the counter and the lady behind the counter gave me a warm smile.
"Welcome to Ham Lake Bingo," she said. "Are you here to play?"
I told her that I was and she sold me a sheet of bingo cards. I found a seat at one of the tables and waited for the game to start.
I don't know if it was the excitement of the game or the smell of the cigarettes, but I started to feel a little lightheaded. The next thing I knew, I was yelling "BINGO!"
I couldn't believe it! I had won my first game of bingo. I was so excited that I wanted to play again. I ended up playing for three hours and I won a few more games. It was a lot of fun.
