Bingo is Back and Better than Ever in the Heart of America
I remember when I was a kid, my grandma used to love playing bingo. She would sit at the kitchen table with her bingo cards and a cup of coffee, waiting for the numbers to be called. When she won, she would jump up and down and shout "Bingo!" as loud as she could.
Grandma isn't around anymore, but I still enjoy playing bingo from time to time. And I'm glad to say that bingo is back and better than ever in Collinsville, Illinois.
Collinsville is a small city located in the heart of America, about 20 miles from St. Louis. The city is home to the world's largest ketchup bottle, which is fitting since Collinsville is also home to the world's largest catsup festival, which takes place every year in June.
Collinsville is also home to the oldest continuously operating bingo hall in the United States, the American Legion Bingo Hall. The hall opened in 1932 and has been going strong ever since.
I recently had the chance to check out the bingo scene in Collinsville and I have to say, I had a blast! The American Legion Bingo Hall is a great place to play bingo. The staff is friendly and the games are well organized.
