Volunteers usually put in about 3 hours of volunteering for bingo events. As part of the church and part of the Rosary Makers, each person must have a hand in volunteering, and running the kitchen during bingo is one of the options. However, it becomes less a hardship and more a fun thing to do when making friends with the people to work alongside, as well as get chatting to frequent players that come weekly--or even a little less but still enough to become recognised! Having these women operate the kitchen makes for great conversation, easy access to food during game play, as well as a great starting point to socialise and make new friends over a meal or refreshment.
